This page is here to tell you we know your child is the most precious thing in the world to you and to tell you Promethean Studios is a safe place to bring your child for lessons. We teach many, many children and we know it’s important that the learning environment be challenging and encouraging at the same time. Our teachers are excellent and personable and adjust lessons easily based on the needs of each student, including factors of age, size, and natural ability (or lack thereof). We’re focused on their progress and part of that progress is emotional and psychological as they grow in confidence and skill. We’re sensitive to encouraging them to grow and take musical risks, but not go too far, too fast. Your child will receive an assignment sheet with clear instructions on what to do during the week. You’re welcome to sit in on any lesson with your child. The more you can monitor and encourage them at home, the more they’ll progress. Even if you’re doing something else, but just arrange to be able to hear your child while they practice (and they know you can hear them) it’ll help them focus and you’ll know what’s really taking place in their practice times. Feel free to talk to your teacher any time about your child’s progress or any issues or questions that might come up. If you have any persisting issues please call the studio and we’ll be glad to help. We want your child to succeed and be encouraged. We’ll work with you and them to make that so. |
