Enjoyment

What is the point of music if you don't enjoy yourself? That goes as much for the most exacting professional as the 5 year old - if music isn't fun, enjoyable, pleasurable, why do it? Music is awesome, lessons should be fun. Gone are the days of having your hand slapped for playing a wrong note or using scorn and disapproval to "motivate" students - and good riddance to bad rubbish. What a way to teach! If friendliness, empathy, and encouragement won't get it done then it's just not worth doing. One of the things we require in our teachers is an open countenance and a sense of humor. A teacher is supposed to be someone helping you, showing you the way, not lording his or her greatness over you, afraid you'll mess up lest you make them look bad. And that's the attitude of lots of teachers. One of the reasons you get to choose your music is we think your lessons should be as much fun as possible.

With absolutely no sacrifice of quality, Promethean Studios is committed from the heart to having each and every student enjoy all that is God's great gift of music. Come enjoy it here, too!
