During the months of June and July we offer 2 special kinds of classes in addition to our normal courses: SUMMER BAND CAMPS and SUMMER GROUP LESSONS. Both of these Classes are one week only in length, to better fit summer's shorter schedule. Summer Band Camps Promethean Band Camps are open to all instruments: Guitar, Keyboard/Piano, Voice, Drums, Bass, Wind Instruments, and Strings. You'll be in a band that plays modern music with other people your age, like you, and with a teacher to lead, supervise, and critique. We'll work on some famous tunes and create a new song, too. We'll jam together and improvise. You'll learn the role of your instrument in a real band. The last lesson will culminate in a concert for your friends and family. The Summer Band Camps meet in 2 hour sessions once a day for a week straight. There are multiple camps during the summer. Summer Group Lessons Summer Group Lessons are separated by age and consist of one week of intensive focus on guitar, piano, bass, or voice for beginning players. You'll establish a firm foundation in playing or singing. You'll have lots of fun, learn lots, too, and finish a song or 3. These lessons meet in one hour sessions once a day for a week.
