Come and learn to play better tonight at the Improv Workshop at 7:45 pm. All instruments and vocalists are welcome; beginners and intermediates too – playing music is so fun. It’s really natural to add licks, fills, and full solos to your music; you can play/sing with me over great songs and get some feedback and instruction on how to do that well. This week we have “Too Cool” in Bb, an R&B chart and “Bluesy Groove”, which I suppose is a groove that’s bluesy – it’s got a nice aggressive element to it also. It’s in d minor. This link:

gets you to all the scales, patterns, and charts used tonight. Print them out if you can.
I’m adlibbing on the electric guitar and the tenor sax tonight.
Then ply me with music and learning questions at “To Play and Sing” Q&A at 8:30. Ask me anything and everything – it’s fun. Last week ago we talked about how to get beyond the basics of improvising AND we learned the least-used sentence in the English Language. Come with your questions ‘cuz we won’t know the questions tonight until you ask yours at 8:30 pm.
You’re invited!
